Review: Love the vibrancy of this Red Henna - A little red henna goes a long way. A great product as usual. I first mixed a jar of Strawberry blonde and approx 1/3 of a jar of Red Henna, I mixed chamomile tea and dried Calendula flowers and made a very strong tea and used that for the liquid for the henna mixture along with 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider vinegar,and a few drops of Pure lavender oil for smell. I applied and kept it on for 2 1/2 hours applied heat with a shower cap style dryer. It came out great on mids and ends. So vibrant on top and the back not so good. I believe it didnt take cuz I applied henna and wrapped the hair in a bun and it was underneath the bun. So I waited a few weeks and did just the roots. It took better, more highlights. I refused the amount this time more red the rest of the jar and 1/4 jar of strawberry blonde . I love applying Calendula flowers to the mix, it's adds lots of vibrancy, Calendula is similar to a Marigold flower but it's not but wjen used in hair it's a gold, orange color and I love it in my mix. It's also called a Pot Marigold. I'll definitely be using it again. Review: Hair Dye - I absolutely love this product for coloring my hair. It leaves my hair feeling soft. My goal had been to have something for a few weeks and then go natural again or pick another color, but the bleaching made me want to just correct and mitigate the damage. I decided to go for henna since it conditions and strengthens and saw Rainbow henna as a recommended brand. I decided to go for burgundy as I wasn’t wanting a fire-truck red and mixed it up!I used hot water as instructed, plus about 2tbsp lemon juice, and then mixed in probably 4-5tbsp cheap conditioner to make it easier to apply. I applied right away, then wrapped in a shower cap and put on my heat cap for 2 60-minute cycles. I washed out with water then used more cheap conditioner to get out the remaining grit. I blow dried to see color right away so my hair came out very straight haha. I washed with cleansing conditioner the next night just to make sure I was grit free, braided it, and let it dry naturally. The color definitely darkened a bit over 48 hours and is a lovely auburn that shines more red in sunlight vs artificial lights. I’m very happy with it overall. For 2 hours of work, it’s a nice lovely color and my hair feels fantastic!Images: Hair braided: before dyeing. Straight: as soon as henna was washed out. The quality is amazing, and I am always so impressed with the results. Burgundy works great for my dark brown hair to hide greys and give a glossy hint of reddish shine to my hair. ### ⭐ Wrong product in the jar....a horrible orange instead if the rich deep auburn color. *by ***N on July 2, 2025* I have been buying Rainbow Henna for years. I use a mix of the dark brown, medium brown, burgundy and a bit of indigo/black and have been happy with the results. However, this last jar of burgundy was not the usual rich deep color. It looked more like medium brown but even more of a copper color....not a good color for me. Even looking at the powder in the jar you could see it was an orange brown color. The burgundy usually is darker and has more blue.
