It was my mistake for assuming it did. You absolutely need the light to use this product.2nd statement- this comes with plently of colors and multiple ways to apply. The instructions are a little mixed up since it tells you to do it different ways in different areas.It comes with plently of product and will last multiple applications. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Practice makes perfect!!! *by G***M on Reviewed in the United States on 7 December 2022* I almost returned this kit because when I used the nail forms and clips, it made the nail so thin you could peel them right off. so I experimented and practiced.....a lot... and finally found the process that works for me. That being said, the clips are WAY to strong and flatten out the nail bed too thin. I also had trouble getting the underneath of the free edge to work right. I ended up using glued on nail tips until my nail beds grew out. Now that I've found my best practice, I would give the kit 5 stars for the value.The colors are a little bit "watered down" for my taste but the longevity has been amazing and I am super rough on my nails. You could always build the nail then paint over if you aren't fond of the color. I have an efile and it is hard to smooth out file marks so they are not seen. So it really pays to get the shape and thickness right in the application process so you have little to no filing. Warm up the tubes in your bra our between your legs before squeezing out, makes it much easier. Amount of product is extremely important because it is hard to remove the excess from free edge easily. Product spreads nicely. Brush could be just a bit more stiff.For $22, it's definitely worth trying.
