The car key cell went bad for both keys and replaced it with 1620 type cell from local store one piece was 50 rupees. Only one key worked I thought it was enough for now I suspect something wrong with my key. After 2 months the new cell dead again. I was frustrated and bought a two set of cell and the keys didn't work. Then I rubbed the last working cell in my pant to maybe give it temporary charge to my surprise it worked but the new cell didn't work still. I went to the shop they said it's key fault. I got really worried because new set of remote keys will cost around 7.5k. I researched well and later found out in most car manuals for cell replacement of their keys which uses this 1620 type "Energizer" brand was the suggested brand and hence I put the order and now my key works really well. So far i have wasted 200 rupees in cells bought in local stores. In Amazon same cell is available from some reputable brands for cheaper price but you have to buy 5- 10 pieces. Energizer brand will last upto 5 Yeats of life span while other brand cell max 1 year. Whichever brand you buy be sure to check it's date. Longer Shelf life will damage the cell. Upto 6 months is ok. I got a 3 month old cell.
