I wanted an adapter more powerful than the 2A ones that are common, so I went for this one. It has worked perfectly for powering my scope and tracking when I use it with an extension cable outside (note that it says its for indoor use only). I have not tried powering additional items off of it, e.g. a dew heater, so I can't speak to its full power rating, but it runs the scope fine.
