**Q: Can energy efficient lightbulbs be used with this or will it not heat the salt enough to produce the ions necessary for the air purification?**
A: This lamp was designed to use a incandescent bulb to produce a heat level to maximize the negative ion output level. Testing has proved as the lamp heats up the negative ion output increases. A dimmer is supplied to reduce emergency consumption.

**Q: I have a question about the salt cubes....obviousloy they shouldn't be laying on the bulb..correct?**
A: Build the salt chunks up and around the light bulb. Try to make them to stack over the bulb without touching the bulb tho.

A: Tallest prong is 7 1/2" high & lamp is 5"wide.

I love this lamp. It's a decent size, came with the rocks and bulb, and everything was intact. There is a bit of a mess when you place the rocks in the basket but it cleans up easy enough. The dimmer switch is a nice feature. I bought it at on sale (probably wouldn't have paid $40 for it normally is) but i wouldnt be mad about the lamp if i did pay $40. It's lovely.
