**Q: Should i get the long bed version instead? considering this for a 2011 taco short bed 4x4. for camping, the bed is often loaded above the rails.**
A: I use the short bed version on my '14 short bed 4x4. Primary use is camping and drump runs which extend over the bed. There is quite a bit of stretch to this net.

**Q: are tacoma rails the same dimension as tundra rails?**
A: The TacoNet rail hooks fit Tundra/Tacoma models. The length of the rails will vary by Model/Bed Length

**Q: Will it fit with a soft bed cover over it?**
A: It attaches to the bed rails so it would fit under a bed cover but I use it to keep stuff inside it the bed that is stacked higher than the bed sides

**Q: To put the hooks in the channel do you have to slide them in all the way from the rear or can you insert them into the channel and twist to lock in?**
A: Sorry I cannot answer your question.  This did not work in my 2016 Tacoma (6 foot bed); it would not stretch to where it needed to hook so I returned it.
