Review: Extremely handy for repairs - I like Fixits more and more as I use them around the house. I've fixed the rubber strap on my kid's school shoes, a broken hook, a bin that clips onto the cupboard, a plastic bedside book/ drink holder and made a new end cover for a chisel as the original one has disappeared. Fixits harden to a strong plastic that can handle a very decent amount of weight and work well. My only issue is that they can be tricky to use as when the stick melts in the hot water it can stick to everything (see the residue on the hook photo) and can harden before you have attached it successfully. I therefore use metal tweezers or a metal spoon to hold the Fixits stick or moulded ball in the water then pour more hot water over it in situ when needed. I tried using a hairdryer but found it difficult. Fixits are more durable than Sugru with certain fixes (I found the latter sometimes detached from the repaired object over time with certain plastics), but not heat resistant. The other product is more suitable for fixing my favourite cracked coffee mug and also it adheres better to certain materials that Fixits don't (it worked as a metal key fob) so I will keep them both for repairs. I like having the tin as it's easy to store and, considering all the things that I've fixed so far that really bugged me or were formerly rendered unusable, definitely worth the money.

**Q: Is FixIts safe to use with Children?**
A: FixIts is non-toxic and is safe to handle. We advise adult supervision when using FixIts with hot water and to be aware of any small pieces created from left over FixIts as they may present a choking hazard for small children.

**Q: Is FixIts a Glue?**
A: FixIts is not a glue and will not bond to smooth or flat surfaces; although FixIts does forms a strong, but often non permanent bond to some plastics (so please test with a small piece first). FixIts can be used in conjunction with adhesives though!

**Q: Can FixIts only be heated with Water?**
A: FixIts can be heated by any heat source above 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). You can use Boiled water, or hot hair from a hairdryer. We use different heat sources depending on how precise we want to be with what we're heating.

**Q: Can I reheat / reuse FixIts once set?**
A: FixIts can be endlessly reheated so if you make a mistake, want to reuse left over pieces, or make something totally new you can reheat it and remould it.

**Q: How long does it take to heat FixIts in kettle boiled water?**
A: FixIts takes approx 1 minute to become fully soft in kettle boiled water. Do not heat in a plastic vessel as heated FixIts can bond to some plastics, always use ceramic or glass as any bits that stick when hot will come off when cooled.

I like Fixits more and more as I use them around the house.
