I was also worried that because the pins on this resetter had 7 of them and my cartridges had 9 pins on them this would not work correctly-**(Note- this was NOT the case, it still worked even though it had the pin discrepancy.**I held my old ink cartridges to the pins on the resetter and held my breath hoping it would work. At first 2 of my cartridges reset immediately as the resetter lit up green which means it's been rest. The other 2 ink cartridges that I had stayed red for a second or two and so I very gently adjusted my angle and it turned green, which again meant that my cartridge was reset. I immediately stuck them into my printer and went through the normal new ink cartridge setup mode and had absolutely no issues what so ever. I tested all of my new ink and each worked as if they were a brand new ink cartridge.( Side note- I should mention that after refilling my cartridges I let my ink cartridges sit out on my table with the new ink in them for about 4 days while I waited for the resetter to be delivered in the mail. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not, it's just one of the things I did before I reset my cartridges so I wanted to mention it just in case.If your printer and/or ink cartridges are compatible with this resetter (see picture below for the complete list of compatible ink cartridges the company provided on the resetter packaging) then I highly recommend getting this resetter because it definitely works. I can't speak for the bad reviews listed , I'm not sure if their ink cartridges are not compatible with this resetter or if possibly there was another issue going on? I just know I followed refilling and resetting directions to a "T" and luckily found an ink resetter that was compatible for my printer and cartridges. It's also worth mentioning that my ink cartridges weren't newer. The black had been replaced probably 1.5 years ago, maybe a little less, and I can't even remember when my color ink had been replaced. They were probably very low, if not close to being empty with ink. I've read a few times people having trouble resetting their cartridges if their cartridges were older and/or if the ink inside of the ink cartridges were less than 20%. This wasn't an issue for me and now I'm thinking of it maybe letting them sit a few days after you've refilled them does help because if they're dried out the new ink might absorb into the sponge that's inside of then cartridges? I have no clue if that theory works or not, it does make sense though.Hope this helps because it's definitely worth replacing your ink yourself. It's simple to do as long as you do it correctly.
