I’m very sensitive to fragrances, and I find the mild fragrance in this it’s very subtle.It gives me the hold I want but not too stiff so I can definitely still come through it. For daily use I use about a nickel for my short fine hair. If I want a more dramatic look, I’ll use a tablespoon mostly in my roots.The biggest bonus is that it keeps my hair from getting too greasy. It must soak up some of the grease because I can usually wait an extra day to shampoo when I’m using this product.
