The factory antenna was WAY too long and would hit the garage when I pulled the truck in... thus fear of breaking in. So, I went with this antenna. Install was about 2 minutes and from what I can tell (right now) the reception is good and really can't tell the difference between the factory antenna and this one. Plus, I don't listen to a lot of AM-FM radio, so for what I am going to use it for... it works perfect.
