Getting baits into tight cover requires a tremendous amount of skill and practice. This reel was designed specifically for skipping & pitching techniques and will allow you to build your confidence quickly, meaning you’ll spend your time on the water removing hooks, not backlashes! This reel has also been constructed with a revolutionary “Demon Eye” micro-control exterior centrifugal brake system for fingertip brake adjustments. After initially setting the internal brake pins, users can then fine tune their brakes with the external Demon Eye control, giving anglers a wide range of 40 adjustments for the bait and conditions they are fishing. The Speed Demon Elite Skip & Pitch Reel weighs only 6.7oz and uses 10 double-shielded, stainless-steel bearings including two, free-spin super speed spool bearings that provide you with amazing ultra-smooth performance and an instant stop anti-reverse bearing for a total of 10+1 ball bearings. It utilizes an exceptionally solid aluminum frame along with carbon side covers for zero flex. And the high-performance gears made from solid brass and a hard anodized aluminum split main shaft delivers that solid feel. A powerful, triple disc carbon fiber drag with 18 lbs of fish stopping power will get fish out of tight spots quickly. The KastKing Speed Demon Elite Skip & Pitch Baitcast reels will be a welcomed addition to any serious angler’s tool kit! Skip It like a Pro, Speed Demon Elite! ## Features - PERFECT REEL FOR POWER FISHING - Speed Demon Deadbolt baitcasting reels were designed to eliminate frustrations anglers were having with their drag slipping when fishing heavy cover. How? Simple. We eliminated it. As a result, the reel allows for powerful, slip-free hook sets and offers anglers the retrieving power that they need to get more fish to the boat through the heaviest of cover. - INSIGHT FROM THE PROS - This casting reel was designed in partnership with Major League Fishing Pro Angler and KastKing Pro Cliff Crochet. When he told us that “The only thing drag's ever done for me is get in the way or not do its duty", we decided to build a reel with no braking system, instead utilizing a spool locking physical design. There is no drag. This reel is locked down so it will not slip, even under the harshest conditions. - STRENGTH WITHOUT THE WEIGHT – Because the Deadbolt baitcast reel is built for power fishing and the most aggressive anglers, we had to build it tough! The KastKing Speed Demon Elite Deadbolt utilizes an exceptionally solid aluminum frame along with carbon side covers for zero flex. This reel maintains strength while eliminating weight, resulting in a reel that weighs merely 6.7 ounces but will stand up to violent hook sets and large fish. - SMOOTH AND RELIABLE – The DeadBolt baitcaster uses 10 double-shielded, stainless-steel bearings including two, free-spin super speed spool bearings that provide you with amazing ultra-smooth performance and extra-long casts plus an instant stop anti-reverse bearing for a total of 10+1 ball bearings. Spool breaking is managed with a centrifugal braking system and a fine-tuning Demon Eye for precise management of overruns and backlashes while still delivering long, accurate casts. - PREMIUM FEATURES THROUGHOUT – We’ve over engineered every component in the reel for tank like dependability. High performance gears made from solid brass and a hard anodized aluminum split main shaft deliver that solid feel. Stainless steel pawl and aluminum worm drive provide smooth performance and we even made the aluminum handle 25% thicker for even more strength and hook setting power. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B09P4XX7V3 | | Bearing Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Bearing Number | 11 | | Best Sellers Rank | #61,419 in Sports & Outdoors (See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors) #108 in Fishing Reels | | Brand Name | KastKing | | Color | Deadbolt-7.4:1-Left | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (511) 4.3 out of 5 stars | | Fishing Line Type | Braided, Monofilament, Fluorocarbon | | Fishing Reel Maximum Drag | 18 pounds | | Fishing Technique | Baitcasting | | Gearbox Ratio | 7.4 | | Hand Orientation | Left Hand | | Handle Material | Aluminum | | Included Components | Deadbolt Baitcasting Reel | | Item Highlight | Max Drag: 18 lb, 10+1 BB, 6.9 oz, CNC Lightweight Aluminum Frame, Magnetic Brake, Deadbolt, Skipping Version | | Item Weight | 6.72 ounces | | Line Capacity | Mono Line Capacity: 10/140, 12/110, 15/90; Braid Line Capacity: 20/270, 30/140, 40/115 | | Manufacturer | KastKing | | Manufacturer Part Number | KRLCSTSDE-DB74LGS-8 | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Model Name | KRLCSTSDE-DB74LGS | | Model Number | KRLCSTSDE-DB74LGS-8 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features Of The Product | Anti-Slip | | Size | Left Hand | | Warranty Description | 1 Year | ## Product Details - **Brand:** KastKing - **Color:** Deadbolt-7.4:1-Left - **Fishing Technique:** Baitcasting - **Gearbox Ratio:** 7.4 - **Hand Orientation:** Left Hand - **Handle Material:** Aluminum - **Item Weight:** 6.72 ounces - **Material:** Aluminum - **Model Name:** KRLCSTSDE-DB74LGS - **Special Feature:** Anti-Slip ## Images ![Speed Demon Elite Baitcasting Fishing Reels,Saltwater & Freshwater - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618FY3NVh7L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Set** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing reel. But it what are you waiting for *by on Reviewed in the United States July 4, 2026* Being a top water guy. Particularly top water frogs. This reel stood out to me because of the no drag feature. Having a standard casting reel with a drag with it locked completely down. Felt like I really couldn’t plant that hook set and bigger fish in thicker cover were popping off. From my first hook set with the deadbolt I’ve noticed a big difference in the feel of the hook set. It just plants the hooks a dead stick the fish. You really feel the weight of a bigger fish. Paired with a 7’3” phenix feather series heavy fast casting rod. It’s a gnarly combo. You can cast this thing a mile with out and backlash. Handles 50 pound breed effortlessly. And centrifugal breaking system works flawlessly if you backlash this thing it’s your fault not the reels. Very impressed with this reel. I was on the fence about spending that kind of money on a reel. But I’m very happy with this purchase. I will definitely buy another one if given a chance. Kastking knocked it out of the park with the deadbolt. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great high-speed reel *by on Reviewed in the United States October 19, 2026* If you are throwing a buzzbait then this is a must-have. Really impressed with it so far and has worked flawless after getting dialed in. I'm running 50 lb brain on it and so far been very impressed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid Actions and Results! *by on Reviewed in the United States June 19, 2022* I have Spartacus, Royale Legend II, Whitemax and now the Speed Demon. Is there a difference between the Speed Demon and the lower tier? That is an easy answer is a blind fold test when you spin each real. I bought it to try it out to see if the difference in price worth the value. There are much more differences when free spooling and reeling in the fish with the speed demon. The Speed Demon is absolutely so much smoother and you can feel there is "no play". You really don't know/aware the "no play" until you spin the Speed Demon vs the lower tier e.g. Spartacus/Royale Legend II. It seems there is no tolerance/vibration in the spinning mechanism. I had trouble later with braided line after 30 min of using it and got worse after further tuning it: would get bird nest on every cast if I am not maxing out 10 on the braking system. And yes, I adjusted the free-spooling drag correctly! Not sure if it is the centrifugal brakes system related though I really like the magnetic system in the lower tier: definitely need more time to play with braided line. Thing really changed to be better when I swapped to 12lbs monofilament. These pictures show what a fun time I had this last weekend of catching shads. I filled up the 85qt cooler in 4 hours. If anyone had done shad fishing, you cast out every 3-5 minutes and I got zero bird nest with monofilament. I am not a die-hard fisherman but this last weekend it was cloudy and the fish was not biting close to shore but the long cast with this Speed Demon was biting almost on every cast. Other fishermen with their spinning rod setup were very jealous the non-stop action I was getting! At the moment, it was a good time and a good experience (beside the braided line incident) so definitely worth the money. I will update any resolution I have on the braided line if anyone want to ping me for a follow up! ## Frequently Bought Together - KastKing Speed Demon Elite Fishing Reel, World's Fastest 10.5:1 Gear Ratio/Deadbolt Baitcasting Reel, 10+1 Shielded Stainless Steel BB, CNC Lightweight Aluminum Frame, Available in Skipping Version - KastKing SuperPower Braided Fishing Line - Abrasion Resistant Braided Lines – Incredible Superline – Zero Stretch – Smaller Diameter – A Must-Have! - KastKing Spartacus II Fishing Rods - IM6 Graphite Blanks Casting & Spinning Rods, 2-Piece Rods with Extra Tip Section, PTS Power Transition System, KastFlex Technology, Rubber Cork Handle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/430173063-speed-demon-elite-baitcasting-fishing-reels-saltwater-and-freshwater](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/430173063-speed-demon-elite-baitcasting-fishing-reels-saltwater-and-freshwater) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
