Arrived in a damaged box with 2 pieces, one piece simply connects to the other. The 3 AA batteries are located in a space secured by a cover with a tiny screw on the bottom of the toy along with the on/off switch. The batteries are not included and the toy does not make noise, light up or create the illusion of vacuuming unless it is turned on. There is a swivel ball attached to the lower end of the handle making easy to move it forward and back. The entire toy is lightweight for an adult but for a youngster it takes a bit of energy to carry it around. It pushes/pulls smoothly and with little effort.
