The aircraft is very sturdy with metal reinforced landing gear and metal brace for the wing mechanism, which allows for the wings to be moved back and forth. There are also screws which hold together some of the main sub assemblies. The cockpit has decals for all the panels, but there are several after market kits available to upgrade to a better looking cockpit. I have built the kit several times. It is not a beginners kit, but it is not overly difficult either. Hope all this helps. **Q: Is this a plastic model, or a radio control plane?** A: Plastic. **Q: Are the jolly roger decals available (vfa-103)?** A: Yes in after market.
