Many folks at the Shroomery use it. Even Amazon shows you that people who buy this also buy Brown Rice Flour. Not a coincidence. **Q: Is this fine or coarse grade? I need fine grade, specifically.** A: I consider it fine. The pieces are not uniform. I don't know if we measure fine grades the same way though so I can't in good conscious recommend the product to you specifically **Q: Does it contain fertilizer?** A: No although it seems to be a mineral. It expands when wet and hold moisture, thus helping seeds to germinate and grow and apparently also helping cuttings to take root. I have not done cuttings in it yet, but plan to. I just transplanted a small plant today that I started from seed in a 2" pot and that plant has a long root. (Didn't have time to measure it, but maybe five inches.) You need to mix vermiculite with potting soil, of course. I mix perlite, vermiculite and potting soil. Fertilize according to what you are planting in it. **Q: Why so expensive? I can buy the same exact stuff down the road from me for $3.99 for 8 quarts.** A: At what store?
