After comparing and researching, I decided on this trash can for several reasons:1 - reasonable price2 - easy step levers3- separate opening bins for trash and recycle4- sizeThis bin is the perfect size for my condo, it is not too big or too small. I am 5'2" and it comes to about mid-thigh high on me. The trash can I had before was too big, so within three days of throwing trash in there it stunk and it wasn't even close to full to take it out so I would waste big liners, so then I found myself using a small trash can and just taking it out and not even using the jumbo one. This can is perfect size. I also loved the little handles on the side which come in real handy when moving it. My other one did not have that and it was a balance act to not send the lid flying (which obviously it did many times).Things to be aware of:1 - Probably tight for a milk gallon jug (doesn't bother me because I don't buy gallon size)2 - there is no where to tuck the garbage bag liner, between the two sections so it just has to bunch there. It would be nice if there was a tucking area between the divider and around the bin to secure the trash bag liner and not see it hanging out.These two cons are not a huge deal and still worth the functionality, size, and price for having a trash and recycle bin in a small place. Definitely happy with this choice after researching all the other options. Worth it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Okay but... *by R***1 on Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2015* This is thus far a decent unit. I've had no problems with the mechanism. I use one side for trash and the other for recycling. The flaw that I find in this unit is its overall design. The plastic base extends about an inch past the bin on all sides which adds an unnecessary space requirement on the sides. However, this plastic footing is not sufficient to offset the outside hinge at the back of the unit. Even with the baseboard, this causes the lid to scrape the wall each time the unit is opened. My "fix" was to place a block of wood on the floor at the back of the unit. A better fix would be to either extend the footing in the rear to compensate for the lid hinge opening or redesign the hinge. A second more minor problem is with the individual interior bins. They each have a handle which seats on the inside of their respective bins thus becoming contaminated by the trash. Seating the handle outside the bin would be my personal preference. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A better design would be to lay the handle on the ... *by H***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2016* It is a little skinnier than I anticipated. My only other issue i have is the metal handle that on the INSIDE of the can, rather than on the outside. It causes the bag to snag on the handle when it is full of trash and I try to pull it out of the can. It has torn more than once. A better design would be to lay the handle on the outside of the can to avoid the bag altogether. I could stand to have a LITTLE more space for my garbage, but it is adequate. Other than than, I am happy with it. It is worth the little sacrifice of space in order to have a 2 in 1 solution.
