Please use a check valve at the end of the inlet hose, it will save your time to set the pump at next time use. Filling Water into the Pump Head Adding some water (＞4L) to the pump head will help accelerate the flow rate of the inlet. During Using the Pump Make sure the hose is not blocked or folded. If the hose has a non-return valve, make sure it is fully submerged in the water. Discharge the Waste Water After Use If you want to clean water from the pump head, just simply unscrew the nut on the head. It's not necessary to clean it every time. Again, water filled in the pump head helps the pump to booster quickly. This pump is not suitable for drinkable water! Tips 1. The max suction height is 8 m and it takes some time before automatic pumping. 2. Adding some water to the head of the pump will help accelerate the flow rate of the inlet. The closer the water inlet pipe and the pump is, the better the effect. 3. Impurities are not allowed in the water and there is a jam if the diameter is more than 1 mm.

A: The pump comes with G1" adapters. If your garden hose fitting is 1", it will be perfectly matched. For 3/4" garden hose, then you need an extra fitting to convert G1" to G3/4".

**Q: Hi, can the the out put pressure be reduced ? Or can put a presuure regulator   put on the outlet ?**
A: If you introduce a throttling device (valve 0r tap) between pump and point of supply you can vary the pressure drop across this device and thus achieve some control of flow and pressure at your point of supply. You may also adversely affect the pump performance and useful working life. You are better off selecting a pump that fits the parameters of the task.

**Q: Could this be used to clear sediment from the bottom of a garden pond?**
A: Hi,
I would not use mine for this job, it only has 1" inlet. The information attached to this pump are a little conflicting. It is recommended to use an input filter. The instructions (according to Rufus) for the recommended filter I used would have you cut the input pipe! The filter requies a male to mail adapter to fit the filter to the pump. I suggest the "Pisces 1" to 1" (inch) Male BSP Thread Nipple Jointer for Pond Hose Tube Fitting" available on Amazon. It may seem like over kill but it avoids blockages if you are pumping anything but clean water.
