I was able to bend the original hangar loop out of the way easily enough without having to cut it off. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of the panhead torx bolts used for the rear. They both stripped out before being able to tighten them all the way. I went to hardware store and got stainless steel hex bolts (M8 1.25) and lock washers and those worked much better. Don't understand why they would have different bolts for the front vs the rear. Other than that, I love the look and it should be much better protection on the trails than the useless OE skidplate on the TW. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great plate - not so easy install. *by V***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2019* The only complaint I have is the lack of true instructions, and the fact that the installation was less than easy. I youtubed an installation vid from someone else and he made it look easy, but it took me a couple of hours and then some sweat and tears to get the front mount (engine bolt) in there. They also didn't mention the fact that you need a torque wrench to make sure and get that bolt back to the right tightness. It shouldn't matter in the long run, but you also need to bend your existing rear skid plate hook with a hammer to get it to fit. Final word is that the skid plate is great once installed. Saw some reviews saying it caused reverb from the engine and made the bike louder.
