But don't expect to have round carrots, or round anything, as the angle of the chute is sloping, only the first few cuts are actually round. The further down the carrot you get the more oval the slices get. It cuts easily and quickly, and I found it useful for slicing up cooking apples for in an apple pie, but I didn't care what shape they came out so that's fine. I would like to have been able to dice with this machine, so am inclined to wish I'd shopped around a bit more before buying it.
