It will need to be polished out and depending on how bad it is maybe diamond ground then polished. **Q: will this take plumbers putty oil stain out of mont blonk quartzite?** A: I have used this successfully to remove oil based plumbers putty. You need to remove the faucets, re3move the putty, duck tape the bottom of the hole, fill with the poultice and allow it to COMPLETELY DRY ( may take several days). The last 10 % of the drying does the pulling of the stain. Sometimes it needs two applications **Q: Is it normal for there to be a dark ring around the application while drying?** A: Yes usually. The reason is that the poultice "seeps" into the stone and usually "dries out" after several days.
