In each case, it is very important to securely install the support spines to the house as instructed. The horizontal slats that form the awning should be hung by the top edge, again following the instructions, leaving the support spines against the house. Once all the slats are in position, they can be snapped into the spine, securing the bottom edge of the slat. The awning can then be raised to its desired angle, secured by the horizontal support bars from the awning to the house. This product is well suited for a park model RV or house trailer. It turned out great! i was worried it was going to be a pain to install at first, but i used the recommendation to check youtube out and that along with the included instructions i was able to figure it out. The aluminum is 'flimsy-ish' as is most thin aluminum but that does keep the weight down and makes everything easier to handle. once it is up it does not matter...it works great. Just be careful and wear gloves when installing. For some reason i was given three 'spines' but i only needed 2.
