This one was made in Germany. It is very well made with a hardwood handle and bristles of just the right stiffness. I love it and hope this company will still be making hairbrushes when I need to replace it many years from now.Addendum after I've been using it for months: This brush actually cleans my hair. I notice that my hair remains cleaner after a week than it used to after 2 or 3 days. Now I frequently vacuum a lot of dirt out of the brush that used to stay in my hair until shampoo-day. The other brand has a very pretty and comfortable handle but I consistently reach for this one because it works the best for me. This is probably because I have long hair and it is half round. I have been using the Fuller brush for many decades, and had just lost my third replacement from Fuller. I was very disappointed to find out that Fuller no longer makes this half round brush. So I looked for something similar and found this. For me, the diameter of this one is a little too small, and the bristles are a bit too stiff. Otherwise, it seems to be a beautiful, well-made brush, just not like the one I was trying to replace. I really miss my Fuller brush which was perfect.
