I only used it once to test so I don't know how long the pump will last but I am choosing to believe. It might deflate over time but once partially inflated it did not deflate when I tried to fold it so not quite reusable for travel. I just needed a spare for my mom's wheelchair (our dog has started trying to kill the current one!) so this works for what I need. Review: Comfortable - A similar pillow was used in the hospital for my husband and they gave it to him to take home. Theirs did not have a way to inflate it, so when it went flat I found this similar item on desertcart and ordered it. After a few weeks of use it also went flat because of a small puncture. I tried to patch it but it didn't hold. I then ordered 2 more so I would have a spare in case one developed a leak.
