I have installed it outdoors next to the little weatherproof box I made for the charger. (No garage!) It seems a little bigger than I expected, but it's very easy to click in the charger handle. The interior receiver for the charger plug is just a round cylinder. I am hoping this will protect the plug from the weather and insects, so I'm a little wary some spiders may decide this is the perfect spot for a web! But only time will tell and this unit makes my setup look a little more finished off.
