Review: Great for my cat's health, great for my nose, and incredibly easy to clean! BUY THIS! - This is by far the best cat litter I've ever used. There's almost no dust. If you're careful filling the litterbox, you can prevent the dust from ending up in there, as what little there is (maybe a teaspoon to a tablespoon between the two bags it comes in) settled to the bottom of the bags. With the near complete elimination of dust in the litterbox when she's kicking it around, my cat's persistent eye irritation and intermittent upper respiratory issues have resolved entirely. I tried multiple brands, clumping and non-clumping formulations both, and nothing even touched this so far as the lack of dust goes. For you cat's health alone, if you are using clay litters or paper/wood litter that has paper or sawdust getting kicked up, clumped between toe beans, etc... make the switch. You will not regret it, and you'll probably have a happier, healthier cat. The health benefits alone would make it worth cost to me over other kinds of litter. But wait, there's more! =D. The odor control and ease of litterbox cleaning are great. No scooping clumps, the silica absorbs her urine immediately, and you can't even tell she's used the litterbox. Poops still stink right after she goes, especially on the occasion where she doesn't fully bury it for whatever reason, but not for very long. Because it's made of silica, which is a desiccant, the turds become completely dried out in a very short period of time, after which they don't smell at all anymore. Even when I'm scooping the box, they're dried to the point of being like little rocks I'm scooping out with zero odor. I also have to scoop less often, and she never tracks pee soaked litter or gets poop stuck to her paws to track out of the box. She likes to vigorously kick her litter around in there, including anything that happens to be in the litter, so this was definitely a problem when I was using other litter types. Not anymore. Lastly, ease of cleaning. Besides the advantages of not having to deal with the dust and odor anymore I mentioned when scooping the box, this stuff beats others when the time comes to do a full dump and change of the littler as well. I'm disabled with severe back issues, and struggle with both bending and especially lifting any weight while bending. This crystal litter is so much lighter. I'm able to pick up the box and pour it into the garbage pail without too much fear of aggravating my back because of it, which is a big deal for me. The directions say to use it until it becomes less absorbent. I change it every 4-5 weeks. Not because it stops being absorbent or loses it's odor control, but because it not being as saturated before tossing it is just easier on my back. Between improving my cat's health due to lack of dust, far better odor control, far greater ease of scooping, and the light weight making it much easier for a disabled person such as myself when the time comes to empty and refresh the whole litterbox, I can't recommend this stuff strongly enough.
