The water is then processed through two carbon filters and three pre-filters and then on to 9 reverse osmosis filters, then back through a polishing filter where it is tested for Purity and Total Dissolved Solids. As we use NO preservatives of any kind and all of our Food Grade H2O2 is made to order in our own Lab, you can expect at least 9 months of full potency. After that period you will begin to see some degradation of about 1% per month thereafter. It is imperative, however, to keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and store in an area that does not exceed 80 degrees F. Indirect light does not affect the potency as we use opaque bottles. General recommendations for cleaning hardwood floors using HP are to use a 3% solution for no longer than 10 minutes of direct exposure. If you have any extra peices of the same flooring, try using your peroxide solution on one of them and see what happens before you attempt to use it on a finished floor. If you don't have any extra peices of the flooring, you can try to apply a small amount of peroxide solution to an area of the floor that is generally out of view, like a dark corner in a closet, a pantry, or underneath a semi fixed peice of large furniture like a China cabinet, couch etc. Either way, I would definitely start with a smaller concentration and very limited exposure times before you get into the higher concentrations. **Q: If I dilute one cup of this with 3 cups of distilled water, does that get me 3% H2O2?** A: Hello.
