These vegetable-based rennet tablets for making cheese contain no animal products, are gluten-free and Non-GMO. Rennet tablets are convenient to measure and use and have a much longer storage life than liquid rennet. Each tablet can be used for 50l of milk . Use 1/2 tablet for 25 L of milk Use 1/4 tablet for 12 L of milk and so on.

A: It's five, one hundred tablets would be be very expensive. Weird that the box says 100, that must be the box their order came in and they break it up to sell in strips.

**Q: How to use**
A: Hello there
If you use up to 12 litres of milk then use only 1/4 of a tablet.
Dissolve the tablet in a small cup of water 10 min before your milk reaches 35 degrees Celsius.
Add the Renner solution to your milk and stir for 10 sec.
Now cover and wait 30 min.

**Q: Can you mix 1/4 tablet with water, use enough for the milk on hand, and store the unused “liquid rennet” in the fridge until next time?**
A: No, but you can use 1/4 of a tablet for 12 liters of milk.

Used a quarter of a tablet to make mozzarella and it came out well. Was unsure if it would be as effective since it's vegetable based, but it worked well on the first try. This worked great and it only takes 1 hr to make. Although it does cost $1 per tablet each tablet can make 10 gallons but to be safe I used a quarter tablet per gallon just because it was my first time.
