Review: Close enough for a fringe instrument. - So I bought these for my Schecter Hellcat VI. I had searched for the stock strings with no luck. LaBella makes a set specifically for the Hellcat and they're very nice, but at ≈$40 per set they're a bit pricey. These Ernie Ball stings are nice. The tension is better and tone are better than the stock strings were. My only issue is that the low E string did not have a tapered end and the string almost does not fit through the hole on the tuning peg. They work without needing to make any modifications, they could just be a bit better.
Review: Not For Fender/Squier VI, Works Perfectly For Dano/Gretsch - A lot of the negative reviews seem to be people mistakenly buying these as cheap replacement strings for their Squier Bass VIs. That’s not what they’re for — your silly vibrato ruins everything. On a Danelectro Baritone/Bass VI, they are absolute perfection. Perfect E-e feel and intonation with no fuss. Awesome for tic-tac. I’m not an Ernie Ball guy for guitars, but you can’t beat these for Bass VI. And while we’re on the subject, the Danelectro version of the Bass VI beats the snot out of the Squier and Fender models. For good reason too: they invented the instrument, while Fender just copied it and added a useless vibrato. Don’t spend $400 making the Squier playable!

So I bought these for my Schecter Hellcat VI. I had searched for the stock strings with no luck. Great strings. Turned baritone to deep bass 6 but if u have reverse headstock the 90 string barely makes it to tuning peg hole.
