I had some initial problems with this chopper. I put it together and threw in a handful of baby carrots. The instructions say to run it for 3-5 seconds. Well, all it did was spin the food in the bowl. A few carrots were impaled on one of the blades but something was clearly wrong. I then watched all three videos on the Amazon page and realized there was nothing fundamentally wrong with what I was doing, except for not running it long enough. I cut the carrots into smaller pieces (~3/4 inch), added some celery and cranked the heck out it for 30-45 seconds. Most of the food was chopped. A few larger pieces got under the blades and were not as finely cut, but the device did work. I give it an 85 out of 100 and the instructions a 20 out of 100. Be sure to fill it about halfway with food. Too little and the blades will just push it around.
