However, during the past 6 to 12 months the quality has become non-existent. Each packet of beef jerky normally ships with a moisture packet to help assist in maintaining freshness etc... It has been my observation that over the past 6 months the uniformity has been inconsistent in that one package of jerky may have two or even three moisture packets while two or three other packages will have zero. No quality control on uniformity for the shipping practice with concerns to the moisture packets. A few moments ago in a poorly lit area I had opened a new package of Carne Beef Jerky and as I reached the 3 piece I happened to notice an odd color which in the poorly lit area I had assumed was just some excess fat (which I am not a fan of) that every once in a blue moon you will get a piece of jerky with some excess fat (Most of the time their jerky is or has been simply / perfectly the best again the quality over the past 6 months has just gone down the crapper...) so I flashed some light on the oddly covered piece I was about to eat only to find that it was not fat but rather MOLD... So to summarize, These guys were good a year ago but somewhere along the line they have gone off the rails. If you do decide to purchase this product be aware that you are at risk for food poisoning and other associated issues... I would not recommend this product any longer until they straighten up whatever mess is happening in their production situation... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THIS is what Beef Jerky is supposed to taste like!! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2017* FINALLY! Someone who realizes that you don't have to soak beef jerky in sugar to make it taste good! THIS is what jerky is supposed to taste like! My only suggestion would be to package it in a bag w/ a zip lock.... but it's not a problem for me as I will be eating the whole bag as soon as I open it anyway!It's a shame that the major beef jerky manufacturers (or ANY major food manufacturer for that matter) feels that they have to put sugar (corn syrup, etc.) in everything. I'm South African and we do our own kind of jerky called biltong, this product is a perfect middle ground between biltong and jerky. I love that there is no sugar of any kind in it and it still tastes like meat. A lot of beef jerky products I've tried just don't taste like meat and are really hard to chew...not Keto Carne!
