I ordered a single switch and one switch controller along with 1 DC adapter to connect to our older non-Kato track controller. We found that the switch has a way of manually changing direction, so could use it manually even before we got the DC adapter. We learned a lot with the first switch and then ordered the rail yard switching set. We should have just gotten it first. It’s a great set and adds a lot of fun. It’s everything you need to expand the layout, with track, wiring, switch control for each one and buffers.
