Review: Stood up to 60lb pit - These gloves are excellent quality. They're thick leather like suede. I have small hands, I usually have to buy kids gloves, and the small fit perfectly with no extra room or sliding and go up to my elbows. I bought these for "ruff" play with my pit and they are great. They protect against puncture so if bitten by something big you'll still get the pressure. Even after a good play session I had a few red marks but no bruising or skin abrasions like I would have gotten without the gloves. I haven't tested them in water but feel they would be waterproof if not submerged for an extended period of time. Great durable product for a great price. Highly recommend
