I wouldn't trust it for anything critical but they work very well for what I need. Being able to choose the chain length is a great option at purchase. The selector lever is a bit close to the wheel so be careful you don't pinch your fingers. Very light weight. Bought 2. One had a defective brake so swapped it out for another new one. The 2 i have now are working well.
