Buyer be aware, the first book with ranni on the cover is about the world and exploration, item collection etc Book 2 with Marika on the front is about how to take on enemies. It’s been the more helpful of the two as it actually demonstrates the defences of each enemy and suggests tactics on fighting. For example it tells that the red wolfs blade attack does physical damage and suggests blocking with a shield, whilst the spellblades do magic damage and should be dodged. I thought this was great, I now know exactly what I should be doing to each enemy. These books are as such, not for everyone and perhaps this will put someone off but I suggest both for the collection but overall if you’ve played the game a handful of times, you already know everything in book 1, but book 2 is so detailed for combat I’m blown away. I guess you could just use your phone to access this information rather than spending around £80 for these books but I’m glad I have them.
