The ones I received do not have a rotating end, you rotate the entire tube. Instead of colored glass pieces inside which change patterns as the tube is rotated, this has a static prism which changes the look of objects at which you point it. The only colors come from those objects, and the pattern does not change. I'll have to keep looking for the ones I want. ### ⭐⭐ Not kaleidoscopes *by L***K on Reviewed in the United States on 6 August 2022* HUGELY disappointing. I got these as party favors for my 3-year-old's birthday party, but they're not kaleidoscopes. There are no colors, the shapes don't change (because there are no moving parts) - they're just very cute cardboard tubes with textured plastic over one end that makes some static refractive patterns. That's it. I'm attaching a picture of what my lamp looks like through it for reference.
