First, this is NOT designed to enter the body and cannot be sterilized so NOT RECOMMENDED to insert into orifices! But you can view inside your ears or nose from the outside with limitations. First, the best in-focus/observation distance is about 1.18 Inch-15.7 Inch, so you cannot get too close or the image will be blurry. Second, it can be a little difficult to hold the camera steady to have a good image. Third, the LED lights do get slightly warm, and warmer as you turn up the brightness so adjust brightness to the minimum required for a clear image. If all you want to do is to get a view of your ear or nose from the outside, then the image will be quite clear and useful. Warning, you may be freaked out by what you see so close up at high resolution. **Q: How is this different from and better than the previous wf010 version? and can it be made to work with a windows pc?** A: I don’t have the previous version of this device so can’t answer your first question. The current version must be used with a cell phone (IOS or Android). It doesn’t support a Windows PC. **Q: How far from the camera will the phone still pick up picture** A: a few feet but I saw no need to be further.
