Sea grapes, known as Caulerpa lentillifera, are a type of seaweed or algae found underwater in the regions of the Pacific The similar resemblance to seaweed appear to have small bubbles of grapes gave it the name “sea grapes.” What Do Sea Grapes Taste Like? Sea grapes have a unique taste and texture. The taste of sea grapes is little salty or briny, just like the taste of ocean water. Interestingly, the sound of the sea grapes will bust into your mouth as “puchi-puchi”, which is an onomatopoeia refering to the popping of the sea grapes." How To Prepare Sea Grapes? Step 1: Soak the Okinawa Sea Grape into 0.5l of clean water for 3 minutes then drain the Sea Grape. Repeat this step 2-4 times to desalt the Sea Grape. Step 2: Soak the Okinawa Sea Grape into 0.5l of iced water for 3 minutes to remove fishy smell of Sea Grape, make it more crunchy Step 3: Best served within 30 minutes to prevent drooping. **Q: What is the Sodium content per serving?**
A: It doesn’t give an exact amount of sodium per serving. It just says that it is less than 2,400mg of your daily value. I think that’s because it tells you let it sit in regular water and then rinse it 2-3 times so most of the sodium is rinsed out. I’ve noticed that the more I rinse it or leave it in an ice bath, the less salty it gets.

**Q: Are they gluten free?**
A: It is a type of algae and, if you Google that exact question, it tells you that it is gluten free.

These sea grapes are so fresh and have a really unique texture—like little pops when you eat them! The flavor is light, slightly salty, and very refreshing. They taste great on their own or added to salads or seafood dishes. The quality is excellent and packaging kept them fresh. Definitely something different and worth trying!

These were my hyper fixation snack for months. I was eating them every day, multiple times a day, multiple pack at a time. The crunch/pop is so satisfying and they taste great! The sesame sauce that comes with them is also delicious but I personally like to dip mine in a mix of soy sauce and wasabi.
