Review: Great specimens! - As soon as they arrived, I placed in a glass of water, and then placed a bag over the glass for a little humidity, as my house in the winter can be very dry. I made sure that the bag did not rest on any portion of the stems. I placed in a window that gets direct sunlight. I would refresh the water every few days by draining out 2/3 of the water and adding fresh water back. Once a day i would remove bag and mist the stems and the inside of the bag to help create more humidity, again taking care that no portion of the bag touched the stems once replaced. After only a few days (maybe 10 days) it's ready to pot. Being winter, im going to finish these inside until spring, at which time they will be moved outdoors, as this is an outside tree and will need the season cycles to stay healthy. All three syems they sent (1 thick, 2 thin) are very healthy and produced roots and leaves very soon. Im very excited to see how these turn out in a few years time. Ill try to come back and pay updates.
Review: All three sprouted but only one made it to the pot - It sprouted and I transplanted in a mixture of bonsai soil, lava rock and another suggested mixture of bark rocks etc. It sustain for a couple of weeks, but the shoots have been dying off sine it was put into soil. The package came with three sticks for sprouting, only one got sufficient sprouts. The other two sprouted, but died before I could transplant. I would never purchase again it was a waste of money.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I followed the instructions but mine is just a slimy mess. It got some roots then nothing. It's been 2 months now. Is there any chance this will**
A: I didn’t have any luck after planting it in a pot either. I think if I were to try it again I would root it and then plant it in the ground until it takes off and then pot it as a bonsai.

**Q: How small can you keep your bonsai ?**
A: Small pot, small tree. Bonsai

**Q: Is this tree already growing?**
A: When I purchased this, I received 3 cuttings. Two of them have grown to about 5 inches while the third one is still hanging on. So, to answer your question, yes the dwarf trees are growing.

**Q: I followed the instructions but it's been 2 months. I got some roots, a slimy mess and thats it. Is thete ant chance thid will grow?**
A: Sounds like maybe you got root-rot? 🤔 did your water go brown, and sit without changing? If so, in my unexpert opinion, could be so. I'm a week in and already have buds on all roots/cuttings.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ready to start growing
*by B***E on November 7, 2023*

I received 6 sticks: one large and 5 very small on Nov 2nd. Was not expecting them until Nov 6th. The large stem already had roots, but some were broken off which seemed to have no adverse effect. The package was wrapped in a plastic bag and the stems were wrapped in very wet paper towels across the bottom two inches. Following instructions, I placed all the "stems" in 2" of water. I put the larger one in a separate container. I also placed the containers under a grow light. The small sticks began growing leaves two days after I received them. On Nov 5th the large stick grew leaves and new roots. It appears more will be forthcoming soon. One stem has yet to root but leaves may be popping soon. I'm extremely happy with the results so far. Will try to update later with hopefully more good news. Well, it's Dec. 30, 2025,and sadly I have to report all the cuttings have died. The large cutting grew a lot of leaves and branches but I ended up in a rehab facility and my husband did his best to take care of my plants but he failed miserably. My cuttings died a miserable death.
