A: The lenses are not glass, they are made of 1.0mmTriacetate, with a 5 layer costruction.

A: I fish out in the Gulf Of Mexico 80 mile out from the coast of Florida and 40 mile out from Jupiter Florida in the Atlantic. I could clearly see about 4O feet clearly. I was pretty impressed. I was going to buy Costas didn't  have too these were GREAT! I hope this helps.
