It isn’t thick material but it’s very soft and will help keep my dog warm under her winter jacket and in my cool house.It’s quite stretchy but holds it’s shape. It washed great in cold water and I dried it on low temp. It dried quickly. The collar area is wide and not tight on my dog’s neck. I bought an extra large. My dog is an 18 lb Beagle with neck approx. 12”, chest 19 1/2”, and length 15”.I just ordered a different color. The fabric on this pink style has not pulled. Its so nice..I owned 3 Weimaraners who were difficult to fit for sweaters bc they have HUGE deep chest and skinny back end no where in same size category. This Gooby vest brand was their Favorite bc it doesn't pinch their armpits but goes all the way to the rear.
