They are cheap and lightweight. When I received them the packaging appeared to have been opened...as in, someone had returned them. I thought well, that doesn't matter. Well, now I know why! I bought these knives to use at a beach house and didn't try them out right away. I would be returning them, If I could, but I do not have any of the packaging. They must have more than one "grade" of knives because I gave some to my daughter and she loves them and hers are much heavier.
