## Questions & Answers

**Q: Has anyone received this as a counterfeit Herm Sprenger?**
A: I have no way of knowing.  I would assume it's not.  But what I do know is that the quality seems great and I love having this quick release on my Herm Sprenger and would buy again.

**Q: How do i know what size to order?**
A: Go to the Sprenger website. prong size is determined by your dog's weight. Over 88 lbs is always 4mm. 

For length measure dogs neck just behind ears and add 2". You can remove prongs from the collars to make them shorter.

**Q: Can i exchange for different size or do i need to return and buy another size?**
A: Measuring for the one you need is not intuitive. I believe the measurement was between the prong holes. If wrong, returns are easy!

**Q: How durable are these fasteners? Anyone have one fail or become difficult to close with time?**
A: It falls off pretty easily, but if you’re careful every time, you can control it. If it falls off while you’re putting it on, you can just slide it back on. It doesn’t fall off while it’s worn.

Oh how I wish I had known about this sooner. The arthritis in my hands made it near impossible to pinch the collar’s prongs. And my poor puppy would cower whenever I tried to get her in or out of the collar. Now it takes me a second to put the collar on or take it off. It literally put the joy back into going for a walk. And any fears that I had about the clip accidentally coming undone were quickly set aside when I saw how it’s made. It has a built in guard which slides over the release mechanism. I highly recommend this clip. It’s a game changer😊 Update: After using this clip for about 6 weeks a problem has developed. The plastic guard which slides over the release mechanism has worn loose and now falls off when I’m putting the collar on the dog. To prevent this I have to hold the clip in place while I fasten the collar. It almost requires three hands. To be honest, it’s a pain in the butt. However, once the collar is fastened the clip and guard work well. It seems to be a design flaw.
