You can charge the fan using the AC power charger or the DC output on a power station or car cigarette lighter output. I did call SetPower and checked with them if that is OK to do. The customer service rep checked and said it was fine to charge it that way; it just may take a bit longer to charge. I also asked if the fan battery had overcharge protection, and it does. It's very easy to clean the fan and the blades. Overall, it's well-designed and feels very durable. Runs for 14 hours down to 40% on medium or with the knob sitting at the 80% light on the fan. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommended! *by F***L on December 10, 2024* I bought 2 of these for when we have storms or the power goes out.
