The 18V sub-compact hammer driver-drill is part of a new class of compact, with the size and weight of lower voltage tools but with the performance, power and compatibility of 18-Volt. The expansive breadth-of-line of the Makita 18V LXT Series means an 18V battery from any LXT tool will power the 18V sub-compact hammer driver-drill. The XPH11ZB has an efficient Brushless motor with two speed settings and dual L.E.D. Lights to illuminate the work area. At only 6-3/8 in. And 2.8 lbs. (With battery, sold separately) it is an ultra-compact drilling and driving solution with superior comfort and handling. It’S part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star protection Computer controls. Review: Known Makita Quality - A small drill with a punch! It has quite a bit of torque for such a small tool - I have a B&D of similar size, but its no comparison. When I received the tool I thought it had a defect as there is a 1/8" gap between the chuck and the housing/power selection ring. Look at the pictures it is obvious that this gap is "by design". Why? I don't know. It looks kind of "unfinished" but does not impact the performance of function of the drill. I am happy with my buy especially given the reasonable cost at $83.

We go through a few drills and they are totally mishandled and abused. I bought the first of these and found it to be very powerful and yet the battery lasted the longest of all the drills. I didn't wear it out. It was so good someone else decided they needed it more than me. So, I had to buy another one. Highly recommend this drill. It's light, it's versatile and durable. It's amazing you can get such a reliable, well designed product for the price.

A: Yes you have 3 settings on the coller,screwdriven,your standard drill,and hammer action,twist the coller so whatever setting you want is in the center of the drill,

**Q: Is the xph11zb and xph11rb the same model?**
A: Xbox is the drill only . No batteries or kit.

**Q: Can u drive tapcon screws?**
A: All tapcon screws require the correct size pilot hole be made first. After that depending on the size you may not even need any drill.

**Q: I need it to work with 220v conditions. Will the charger be able to work with 220v?**
A: There is a version of the charger that will accept 220v.  You need to keep looking...  I had one in Thailand.
