New Zealand Active Manuka Honey. Activity level: 12 plus. Aloe Vera, Panthenol. Sterilized. Directions: Gently wash area with water or saline. Let dry. Apply light layer of Wound Honey. Cover with non-stick bandage. Repeat for twice daily applications. Do not use if allergic to bee venom or bee products. Do not use on children under the age of two. Review: Amazing product!! - I don't usually write reviews but this product is amazing and I want others to know about Manuka ointment. I had surgery a few days ago leaving an open wound the size of a nickel and about 1/2 deep in a very sensitive area. From reading other reviews I decided to try this. I was in quite a bit of pain and hard to sleep within hours of applying this ointment my wound is so much better. My pain is now very minimal. I am using this ointment with Medipore surgical tape and gauze changing my bandages a few times a day...I would highly recommend this product and it's natural.
Review: Worth It - This is perfect for deep scars! I got foot surgery done in November 25’, I bought it in March 26’ and within 1 week of nightly application I already see a result. Same consistency and stickiness as honey, I apply it overnight after washing my foot and sleep in a sock. I’m going to see how it helps older scars.

**Q: Is this sterile?**
A: All honey is sterile, at least for all practical purposes.  That is why honey does not have to be refrigerated.  It is naturally sterile in the sense that organisms cannot grow in honey.  It is because honey is hygroscopic.  It kills bacteria by dehydrating bacteria.

**Q: Is this any better then just putting good Manueka honey on your wound? And why if so?**
A: Aside from being sterilized, Wound Honey has Aloe Vera and Panthanol (Vitamin B). These are not only good for wound healing in their own right, but thicken up the honey to a texture that's much more usable.

Manuka honey from your grocery story will run and leave a mess. Wound Honey will stay were you put it.

**Q: Hi, could you please tell me the list of ingredients in this?**
A: I totally agree with the previous comment listed below and would like to add- although it is 100% pure honey- it is for topical use only. A fine product.

**Q: anyone have experience with manuka honey on lips that break out with sores? my husband currently uses acyclovir but I ant sth natural for him instead**
A: I haven't had experience with it for this particular thing, but have use the manuka honey on open wounds and put a bandage over them and they heal very quickly.  Don't see why it wouldn't work for your problem as the honey is a healer - (one problem might be that you really can't bandage the lips and you'd probably eat it off!)
