Review: Favourite most played with gift Christmas 2024 - I actually watched a video that the creator of these cubes had shared online, as an autistic Mother of two autistic teens who are both very creative, very visual and constantly stimming - this was the best stim / fidget toy I've ever bought for my kids hands down. Having learned the hard way in the past, (I now buy the more expensive brand as cheap Chinese versions are far more likely to break/ fall apart) I was immediately delighted with my decision to buy the creators more expensive model - this feels solid, it's high quality, incredibly well made and will clearly be a permanent fixture in my home ! Since opening on Christmas morning, I haven't once seen my kids reach for objects that are not the safest to stim with (I can't be the only Mum of autistic teens who frequently finds hob lighters, tools and random objects wherever they are!) Their cubes have been permanently by their sides since opening and they are so relaxed, happy and clearly enjoying the sensory input that these genius toys provide! I do think these are better for older kids, teenagers and adults - I suspect younger kids would struggle with opening the cube and in creating the different shapes. For any parents considering purchasing this for your autistic child - but put off by the cost - I have spent the same on a large set of fidget spinners that were touched once then barely used again. This is the best money I've spent this Christmas and I'm tempted to buy more to keep around the house ( so my hob lighters stay at my hub)
