I am not an every weekend hiker so I didn't want to spend a lot on it. First let me say it is very lightweight and folds up inside it front pocket which is very handy! I was easily able to carry my first aide kit and 2 hydro flask bottles (20 and 25 oz) inside the main pocket with room to spare. I could have easily slipped a small rain jacket or sweatshirt inside as well. The only downside so far is that the bottle holders on the sides are basically useless for the size bottles mentioned above. I tried to use it with my 25 oz bottle and as soon as I put the pack on the bottle fell out and now it has a new dent! Perhaps a smaller bottle or standard water bottle would fit better. But that is really my only gripe!
