If I had enough time prior to my event (an 18th century ball), I would have bought nicer brooches. They look fine but are plastic. You will need some sort of side bustle to fill it out. Also, the fabric is not the best quality, but it’s not flimsy either. Review: Shockingly regal - This costume is surprisingly well- it is a great value and it looks very regal. I did not like the big bow in the front so I removed it and fancied the gown up with some trim of my own. Material is pretty and not too thick or heavy. I have my own hoop skirt under it in the photo to add volume, and it’s def necessary to maximize the look.
