## Description

The NETGEAR MS108UP Ultra60 PoE++ Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch is for organizations who buy infrastructure for the long term and want future proofing. The MS108UP allows you to deploy PoE+ and even PoE++ devices with a 230W power budget and both 1G and 2.5G speeds. The ideal companions to the MS108UP are the NETGEAR WAX218 and WAX610 WiFi 6 Access Points that feature a 2.5G Ethernet port. MS108UP provides a total PoE budget of 230W and advanced PoE features such as uninterrupted PoE for powerful PoE applications. The switch provides four PoE+ and four PoE++ auto-adapt multispeed Ethernet ports that support 2.5G and 1G. Each of the 8 Multi-Gig ports automatically detect which speed is needed by the connected device and provides the optimal connection speed. Each of the 4 Ultra60 PoE++ ports can provide up to 60 watts to power up the connected devices such as LED lighting, PTZ cameras, high-power IP speakers and IoT devices. The MS108UP is fanless allowing it to be placed in noise-sensitive environments. This Plus-managed switch offers an updated, easy-to-use Web browser-based management GUI with configurable L2 network features like VLANs and PoE operation scheduling. The IGMP snooping feature can automatically define explicit action multicast groups to be supported per port.

**Q: Does this work like other switches where I use one of the ports to connect to my router?**
A: Yes. It is a 2.5G Ethernet Switch (supporting speeds of 2.5G, 1G, and 100M). It just also supports PoE++ (60W) Power Devices (PD's) which are both powered and connected to the network via a single Ethernet cable.

**Q: Which port is the uplink port?**
A: Any port is an uplink port. Its a switch so all ports are the same. I would use one of the PoE+ ports if you need the uPoE mostly.
