It's not the most expensive mat out there, but it's not exactly cheap, either. It has a really nice thickness to it that provides a good amount of cushioning, but I don't sink in or feel my feet slipping during poses. It's sticky, but not too sticky. Most importantly, it doesn't move around on carpet, which is important since the only space I have to practice in my small condo is carpeted. (I tried out a few mats that made me feel like I was trying to balance on a banana peel because they constantly moved on the carpet, so that is something that was very important to me!) It doesn't hurt that this mat is nice to look at. I love all of the colors and find them soothing to look at as I practice. I've only been using the mat for about a month, so I can't speak to durability yet. But I have used it 3 times per week since it arrived and it still looks brand new, so fingers crossed! Overall, I would definitely recommend this mat. In fact, I like it so much I'm tempted to get another one in a different color. I use it for stretching and floor work like abs and glutes. It is very sturdy and provides a nice amount of padding. My knees and joints do not hurt while I am using it.
