Has anyone used this on similar angles with success?** A: We have the same problem. We used a wooden wedge on all four contact points on the wall. We painted the wedges the same color as the wall. Works & not terribly noticeable. **Q: Can it be installed if you have trim and quarter riund at the bottom?** A: You need about an inch of level wall surface **Q: our space is exactly 58in wide - will the tension be strong enough to hold at that max length?** A: It’s not super strong. My husband put a screw into bottom of the gate straight into the floor to add stability. A shim of some sort would also work. We leave our gate up all the of the time so don’t mind having a screw there. I am using it to keep my small dogs out of one room when the double doors are open for airflow. I have found that the centre door needs two hands to unlock but I am getting used to it and trying to use just one hand to unlock.
